1. What We Collect

Story Bucket is a personal journal app designed to help you capture and share adventures with people you choose.

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your profile photo (if you choose to upload one)
• Content you create — bucket lists, activities, photos, reviews, and comments
• Location data you provide for activities (only what you enter)

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. We never see your Google password.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To show you your stories, memories, and bucket lists
• To let you share adventures with people you invite
• To send optional notifications about activity in your shared lists
• To improve the app and fix bugs

We do not:

• Sell your data to anyone
• Show you ads or use your content for advertising
• Share your data with third parties beyond what is needed to run the service
• Use your photos or stories for anything other than displaying them to you and your invited members

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on Neon (PostgreSQL) and Vercel Blob (photos). Both services are SOC 2 compliant and encrypt data at rest and in transit. Your data is stored in the United States.

4. Your Control

• You can delete any activity, photo, or bucket list at any time
• You can delete your entire account, which removes all your data permanently
• You can export your data by contacting us
• You can revoke Google access from your Google Account settings at any time

5. Cookies

Story Bucket uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies that identify you across sites.

6. Children's Privacy

Story Bucket is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will notify you in the app or by email.
