1. Welcome

Welcome to Story Bucket. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Story Bucket is a personal journal and bucket list app. It lets you create, track, and share adventures with people you invite.

2. Your Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Story Bucket
  • One person per account — no sharing login details

3. Your Content

You own everything you create on Story Bucket — your photos, reviews, comments, and bucket lists.

By posting content, you grant Story Bucket a limited license to display it to you and the people you've invited to your bucket lists. We don't claim ownership of anything you create.

4. Acceptable Use

Don't use Story Bucket to:

  • Post illegal content or anything that violates someone else's rights
  • Harass, bully, or spam other users
  • Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Scrape or reverse-engineer the service
  • Use the app for commercial purposes without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Service Availability

We do our best to keep Story Bucket running smoothly, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. We may take the service down for maintenance or updates. We are not liable for any loss of data or content — please keep your own backups of important photos.

6. Third-Party Services

Story Bucket uses third-party services to operate:

  • Neon — database hosting
  • Vercel — app hosting and file storage
  • Google — optional sign-in provider
  • OpenStreetMap — map tiles

Each of these services has its own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their actions.

7. Limitation of Liability

Story Bucket is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Story Bucket and its creators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. If you're unhappy with Story Bucket, your only remedy is to stop using it.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we'll notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of Story Bucket after changes means you accept the new terms.
